How do I send my first inventory shipment to the warehouse?
Use Send Inventory in the client portal to tell your warehouse what's coming. You'll add the products, quantities, and tracking number, and the warehouse will receive it in.
Send your first inventory by creating an inbound shipment at Send Inventory in the client portal. This tells your warehouse exactly what's arriving so they can receive it quickly and accurately.
You'll need the carrier tracking number (or an estimated arrival date if you're shipping it yourself) and a list of products with quantities.
Step-by-step
- In the client portal, click Send Inventory in the sidebar.
- Choose the destination warehouse if your account has more than one location.
- Add each product and the expected quantity. If a product isn't in your catalog yet, add it from Inventory → Add Product first.
- Enter the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) and tracking number. The platform will track the shipment automatically and notify the warehouse when it's delivered.
- Add notes for the receiving team if needed (e.g., "fragile" or "expedited").
- Click Submit. Your warehouse will get a notification and the shipment appears under Receiving on their side.
You're done when…
The inbound shipment shows up in your Send Inventory list with status "In Transit." Once the warehouse marks it received, your stock counts update automatically.
