Using API Keys with the MyOnlineSeller Public API

Learn how to create, use, secure, rotate, and revoke scoped API keys for the MyOnlineSeller Public API.

Overview

The MyOnlineSeller Public API uses scoped API keys to authenticate every request. Each key is tied to your tenant and only has the permissions (scopes) you grant when creating it.

Creating an API key

  1. In the MyOnlineSeller dashboard, go to Settings → API Keys.
  2. Click Create key.
  3. Enter a descriptive name, for example: Production – Orders sync.
  4. Select the scopes the key needs (read/write per resource).
  5. Copy the secret immediately — it is shown only once.

Store the key securely as soon as you generate it.

Using your API key

Include the key in the Authorization header on every request, using the Bearer scheme:

Authorization: Bearer mos_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
