How do I add a new product to my catalog?

Open Inventory, click Add Product, and enter the SKU, name, and details. New products start at zero on hand until inventory is received.

To add a new product, go to Inventory in your sidebar and click the Add Product button. Enter the SKU, product name, and any optional details like weight, dimensions, barcode, or a product image.

Required vs. optional fields

SKU and product name are required. Everything else, including the image and dimensions, can be added later. Accurate weights and dimensions help your warehouse pick the right box and rate your shipping correctly, so add them as soon as you can.

Why your product shows zero on hand

New products always start with zero quantity on hand. Inventory is only added when your warehouse physically receives a shipment from you, which keeps the catalog and the actual stock in sync.
