Why was my return marked as "Return to Sender"?
Understand why a shipped order came back to the warehouse and what to do next.
A "Return to Sender" (RTS) means the carrier could not deliver the package and shipped it back to the warehouse. This is different from a customer-initiated return.
Common causes
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping address.
- Customer was unavailable after multiple delivery attempts.
- Package was refused by the recipient.
- Address was flagged as undeliverable by the carrier.
What to do
- Open the order and review the shipping address with the customer.
- Update the address if it was incorrect.
- Reship the order using the corrected address, or refund the customer if they no longer want the item.
