How does package tracking work after shipping?

Every shipment is registered with EasyPost. Tracking events stream into the order in real time and trigger delivered, exception, and return-to-sender alerts.

Once a label is printed, the tracking number is registered with our tracking provider and the order receives live updates from the carrier without anyone having to refresh.

Where to see tracking

Open any shipped order to see the full event timeline. The tracking number is also a clickable link that copies to the clipboard or opens the carrier's site in a new tab.

Automatic alerts

The system flags exceptions, return-to-sender events, and successful deliveries automatically and notifies the right people based on each user's notification preferences.
