I made a mistake — can I undo a shipment or invoice?

What can and cannot be reversed in the platform, and how to handle each case.

Most actions can be reversed, but the right method depends on whether the change has already been transmitted to a third party like a carrier or a customer.

Voiding a shipping label

Open the order, find the shipment, and click Void Label. This refunds the postage (carrier policies apply — usually within 28 days) and returns the inventory to Available stock. The shipment is marked Cancelled in the audit log.

Reversing an invoice

Issued invoices cannot be deleted because they are referenced by your accounting records. Instead:

  • Issue a refund for the incorrect amount, which posts as a negative line item.
  • Or void the entire invoice, which marks it as Voided and zeroes the balance.

Undoing inventory receipts

Open the receipt from the inbound shipments list and click Reverse. This subtracts the received quantities back out and logs the reversal with your user ID.
